About the Event
This Vietnamese New Year, the Vietnamese Minnesotan Museum will present a curated gallery spanning more than 2,000 square feet, featuring over 150 artifacts that reflect both traditional and contemporary Vietnamese art and culture. The exhibition will include works by Vietnamese artists, as well as historical and cultural artifacts that collectively capture the history of the Vietnamese people and highlight their activities, cultural traditions, and contributions within Minnesota.
The gallery experience will be complemented by a multimedia presentation, including a projected video screening of 50 Years in Retrospect, featuring rare and previously unseen photographs of Vietnam during the war, offering historical context and deepened understanding for audiences of all backgrounds.
In addition, the museum will host an interactive calligraphy booth for both adults and children. Participants will learn the basics of Vietnamese calligraphy while engaging in guided conversations about Vietnamese culture, history, and the significance of written language during the Lunar New Year.…
